International Conference Lithuanian Research and Industry has been organised since 1993 by one of the largest technological universities in the Baltic States – Kaunas University of Technology. The conference features presentations and panels on Europe’s major industrial and economic developments, inviting open discussions among representatives from the European institutions, the national government, including the Prime Minister of the Republic of Lithuania and the leaders from industry and academy.
The main topic of the international annual conference Lithuanian Research and Industry 2021 is “Transforming the industry: how to prepare for the changes ahead”. Its purpose is to discuss the European Green Deal strategy, the presented vision of sustainable economic growth, and ambitious aim to neutralise the impact of the countries on climate. This year the conference will be organized with Lithuanian Confederation of Industrialist and Kaunas Region Industrialists and Employers Association.
The conference will bring together European and national authorities from public and higher education institutions as well as representatives from industry to reflect crucial moments for development of innovations and technologies, to express the insights related to aspirations of sustainability and digitisation, to share the forecasts that could affect social welfare, economic growth and environment preservation.
